With the Santoku knife from the ZWILLING Diplôme series, you set off on a culinary tour to Japan. There Santoku knives are universally used: Be it meat, fish or vegetables, these traditional knives are suited for cutting almost all ingredients. The name itself reflects this diversity: Translated, it means “three virtues”. With its 18 cm long blade, the knife from the ZWILLING Diplôme series combines the most important properties of the Japanese utility knife with modern technology. Together with the well-known “Le Cordon Bleu” cooking school, ZWILLING developed an instrument that convinces with its durability and satisfies the discerning demands of top chefs.
The slightly curved blade and the straight back are characteristic for the Santoku knife. Thanks to the curvature, herbs or vegetables can be chopped in next to no time. With a grinding angle of only 20°, the blade is particularly thin and sharp. Meat is thus cut cleanly and with little effort. The optimally balanced and ergonomically-curved handle is made of plastic and connected to the tang with a three-rivet design. The bolster and wide blade ensure comfortable cutting, even with large hands. You receive a high-quality, all-purpose instrument that is based on the Japanese model – with the ZWILLING knife, you can create sushi, wok dishes and other meals with little effort.
